I was looking for reasonably priced, solid wood office furniture that didn't look like office furniture. I purchased this desk, along with the matching bookcases and accent table. It was the easiest of the three pieces to put together -- simply screw on the legs and attach the knob for the drawer. I haven't actually used it yet so I can't attest to its durability but I'm quite pleased with the looks and quality, especially for the price. The whitewash has a yellow cast to it which doesn't bother me at all. I just wish the keyboard drawer was wider because there's no room for a mouse pad.
